Is this compatible with OS x 10.6.8?   For straight back up and on site storage which is better - WD my book or Passport? Thx - s

Thank you for your question. In regards to the WD 4TB My Book USB 3.0 External Storage - Black (L6619183), the hard drive is compatible but the software is not. WD my book would need to be reformatted for MacBook but the Passport does not. If you need any further assistance, please visit your local London Drugs Computer Department and a Specialist will be able to help you. Thank you. Sincerely, CS 39

I was wondering about the new versions of Western Digital my book hard drives. I'm using Windows Vista OS and have several of the older version WD my book drives which work fine with Vista. So my question is are these new drives compatible with Vista?
