Did You Know:
1. The West End is a downtown neighbourhood of the City of Vancouver, west of Burrard Street; east of Denman Street; and south of West Georgia Street. It is the gateway to the world-famous Stanley Park and Seawall, and features many public art installations such as the 2009 Vancouver Biennale "A-maze-ing Laughter" sculpture by Yue Minjun in Morton Park; and the iconic Inukshuk by Alvin Kanak on English Bay from the Expo '86 World's Fair.
2. In 1862, the then-heavily forested West End was collectively purchased by three gentlemen known as the ""Three Greenhorns"" to establish a brickworks, though the area instead was destined to become the city’s first upscale neighbourhood. Today, the mainly residential, pedestrian- and bike-friendly West End includes the thriving gay community of Davie Village; eclectic shopping on Denman Street; high-end retail along Robson and Alberni Streets; and diverse dining, from casual ramen eateries to finer dining seafood restaurants.
3. The London Drugs on Davie Street at Cardero Street, has been part of the West End neighbourhood since 1997.
"Vancouver's West End has great dining and cultural options, tourism, and is diverse and welcoming. Right in the heart of downtown, we're a convenient and accessible location close to the seawall, beaches and entertainment."
