Did You Know:
1. Incorporated in 1879, the City of Delta is bordered by the Fraser River to the north; the United States (Point Roberts, Washington) to the south; and the City of Surrey to the east, and is composed of three distinct communities: Ladner, Tsawwassen and North Delta.
2. Delta was originally inhabited by the Tsawwassen peoples of the Coast Salish. Spanish explorer Francisco de Eliza sighted the area in 1791 and named it "Isla Capeda," mistaking it for an island; Delta's first European settler was James Kennedy in 1860, and Thomas and William Ladner began farming the area named after them, in 1868.
3. The London Drugs in Scott 72 Mall on 120th Street, has been part of the North Delta neighbourhood since 1983.
"Our multicultural community is a very family oriented neighborhood; while predominantly South Asian, we still have a very diverse and accepting customer base. Our very friendly, easygoing customers are a pleasure to serve."
