Overview
Remote magnetic location - curved and magnetized to store neatly on the machine
Cooling mode - one touch to switch to cooling mode
Temperature control - 1 deg C,  37 deg C precision
Variable airlfow - Quickly adjusts airflow power
Oscillation - Independent motor drives smooth oscillation
Sleep timer - Heater can be programmed to turn off after preset intervals ranging form 15 min to 9 hours
Airflow mode selection - switch between focused and diffused mode
Air multiplier technology - surrounding air is drawn in to project smooth, powerful, high velocity airflow
PTC ceramic plates - Specific composition limits maximum temperature to 200°C. So dust doesn’t burn. No worrying smell.
Safe - Tip-over automatic cut out. No visible heating elements. No fast-spinning blades.
Re-engineered airflow paths - Airflow paths are streamlined so that air passes through the machine more quietly and with greater efficiency.
Acoustically engineered motor bucket - The motor’s casing has been tuned to reduce vibration and therefore noise.
Aerodynamic diffuser - Separates airflow into controlled paths, creating a more efficient journey to the loop.
Mixed flow impeller - A combination of the technologies used in turbochargers and jet engines generates powerful airflow.
Re-designed air intake - Air is drawn in more efficiently, generating less turbulence and noise.
2.5mm aperture - Air is forced out to create the jet
Second aperture - Air is forced out to create entrainment that pulls the jet over the 45 degree projector.
Focus ramp - Channels and directs airflow into a warm jet of air, for focused mode.
45 degree projector - Channels and projects airflow wide, for diffused mode.
Air gates - Directs airflow into both aperture chambers for diffused mode, or seals off the second aperture to produce focused mode.
Brushless DC motor - Uses less energy than its predecessor to generate powerful airflow.
Touch-tilt - Pivots on its own centre of gravity, staying put without clamping.
LED display - Shows target temperature.
Low centre of gravity - Base-mounted motor. Not top heavy and unstable.

New Technology - Jet Focus control - Choose focused mode for long-range powerful airflow, or select diffused mode for wide projection to mix the surrounding air.
Focused mode: Warm air is accelerated through a 2.5 mm aperture and over an airfoil shaped ramp. It is redirected by a focus ramp. which projects a powerful stream of warm air towards the user
Diffused mode: A jet of air is released from a second aperture. As the two jets meet, entrainment guides the airflow over a 45 degree projector, releasing a wide stream of powerful airflow

Dyson AM09 Tower Fan and Heater - Black - 303032-01 is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 94.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cold air on heat cycle I bought this a year ago hoping to have supplementary heating on my bedroom. And it worked when it outputs warm air but for spme strange reason, it switches to cold air after running a bit and that runs for a long time giving me a cold headache. Is it a necessary partvof the heationg to cool off the heating elements I don't know but rhe cold cycle while heating is supposed to happen lasts very long and defeats the purpose of warming up the room. This is a fatal error in design. Very disappointed user.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works fantastic ....just slow to start heating I have had this for over a year now. In the morning when the condo is at at about 15 degrees Centigrade and I turn on the Heater ....it does not start. I walk away and start the cheap heater in the hallway and it starts right up .....next I turn up the thermostat and the electric start up right away .....next I turn on the coffee maker and walk back to the Dyson and it still has not started .....guess its thinking about the temperature is .....after about a minute more it finally decides to start and now I can set it to oscillate ......until it starts heating it just ignores my request to oscillate. Once it has started to heat and oscillate it works great .....just hard to get it to start. I would recommend this product but only for people who are patient first thing in the morning :-)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from well.. its a heater and a fan.. I use this unit in a 10x16x8 insulated building and from my experience the only value in this product is its safety features, that being if it tips over it will turn off and its cool to the touch even at highest heat. It's a very elegant design but the buck stops there. I certainly didn't buy it for safety features as they are unnecessary to me personally. I'm sure this product works wonderful in an already heated or cooled environment (such as a room in a home) as supplimental heating and cooling, however, if you are like me using it in a very small space with zero heat in the subzero temperatures of Canada you will be disappointed. For cooling, while the fan may be capable of circulating a lot of air due to it's unique engineering.. you will not perceive the fan as powerful or feel a breeze of any kind unless it is within seven to eight feet of your body. The heater on the other hand is incapable of bringing the aformentioned space to a comfortable level of warmth even at its highest setting. If you were to have NO power or HEAT and hooked this on a generator (which I do and have) it will NOT suffice.. you will be better off buying two or more affordable heaters at a small fraction of the cost. I used this through the summer for weeks at over 30C in a small space and am now using it at -20C in that same small space. I live nearly off the grid and I'm definitely going to have to spend more money on other products.. it's beautiful but it's "ok" at best in my situation.
