Ultra-sensitive Artistry
When beautiful scenery inspires the artist within, capture every exquisite detail with the compact Cyber-shot® RX100 II. You'll enjoy extraordinary light sensitivity, breathtaking image quality and beautiful background defocusing thanks to a newly developed 1.0-inch back-illuminated CMOS sensor and f/1.8 lens.

Amazing low-light shots
Extremely high sensitivity and remarkably low noise are achieved by Sony's massive new 20.2-megapixel Exmor R™ CMOS sensor. Its back illumination technology collects light more efficiently and combines with image processing advances to bring noise to unbelievably low levels – equivalent to noise one stop lower sensitivity in the renowned RX100 II.

Beautiful Defocused backgrounds
Legendary Carl Zeiss® optics and unrivaled Sony imaging technology merge in a compact, high-performance lens that offers supremely accurate performance, powerful 3.6x (28-100mm at 35mm equivalent) optical zoom capabilities and an enormous f/1.8 aperture with almost perfectly round seven-blade diaphragm for beautiful background defocusing.

Sony Cyber-shot RX100 II - DSCRX100M2 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 140.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cybershot DSC RX100M3 Just bought and like product. Manual very poor to help neophyte read clearly to have sufficient information. Sony went cheap on providing a readable manual

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Versitile and pocketable Gem Professional photography was once my life, now I shoot photographs strictly for fun and family reasons. I looked for a pocket-able camera, which would hold up its end like the big boys. I had owned a previous Sony for a decade before, and I once even used it to photograph British Royalty, it had great optics, but I still could not carry in my pocket. I needed a small camera, with a fast lens for using available light, and superb image quality. After much research I opted for the DSC-RX-100. That was a few moths ago, and since then I have had no regrets, the RX-100 does everything it says on the box and much more. The image quality is top-notch, as is the construction, I keep it in the leather-like carry case and find that the lower part best to leave on while shooting, otherwise the camera feels a bit small for my hands. I shoot mostly people portraits and nature and the lens is brilliant for my needs, however, you may wish a longer zoom, but I do not. In all the RX-100 camera is typical Sony quality, and a great successor to the one I had owned for over a decade before. For me it was just what I needed to keep me satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many hidden qualities This is an amazing little camera that can easily shift from auto shots to manually adjusted shots. There are many different options hiding in the menu. It's lightweight and very well designed. The battery doesn't last long especially if you take panoramas so I bought a second battery.
