Monster 8 Outlet GreenPower PowerCentre - Black - MPHT800G is rated out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tomax from Read the instructions carefully I bought a new Sony smart TV and the Monster GreenPower Power Centre. Hooked everything up and it was working fine. A few weeks later I decided to do some re-wiring and tidying up behind my entertainment center and changed a couple of settings on the TV. The next morning I noticed that my PVR was not turned on but when I turned my receiver on suddenly the PVR and TV both came to life. Of course the PVR had to boot up and took about three minutes before I could watch anything. I spent several hours trying to figure out what had happened and when I couldn't I contacted the Onkyo technical department for some advice, and was told to shut off the CEC feature on the receiver. Still no luck, so talked to several other people and no one could figure it out. I finally took a meter and checked the voltage from the transformer to my PVR and the transformer to the TV, and there was not power on either. Now I was really puzzled so went in to the local London Drugs and talked to Byron in the A/V department and asked if he knew of anyone locally that could perhaps figure this out. After listening to my story he asked if I had purchased a new Power Centre when I bought the TV and then showed me a switch on the end of the power bar and explained that if it is turned on, then it would cut the power to all the other components. I must have accidentally turned it on when I was tidying up the wire behind the set. Everything is working perfectly now.
