At London Drugs you get more than just a shot; you get quality care with a personal touch.
We understand that you lead a busy life and your schedule is hectic. We'll do everything we can to accommodate your schedule. We may suggest making an appointment. If so, it is to ensure that your pharmacist will have the time to discuss your health and vaccination history prior to your injection. And it also means less waiting time and no long lines.
London Drugs maintains very high health and safety standards, because it is important to us to provide you with the best possible care and to do all we can to safeguard your health.
- Our pharmacists meet all the necessary regulatory and legal requirements for injection certification, but we don't stop there. To prevent passing along an infection, our pharmacists are vaccinated against hepatitis A and B, and they change to a new pair of disposable gloves when administering injections for each client.
- To ensure the highest level of care, we have a medical director and a corporate nurse who oversee our injection program and the comprehensive training our pharmacists must go through before they become certified to give injections.
- In recent years, there has been a lot of misinformation about vaccines floating around the Internet and reported in the media. If you have any questions about the flu vaccine—or about any other vaccine—your London Drugs pharmacist will be happy to answer your questions and provide you with accurate information. We are always available to consult with you about your health concerns.
When you get your flu shot at London Drugs, you will be asked to remain in the store for a minimum of 15 minutes so we can keep you under supervision. While extremely rare, allergic reactions can occur, and we want to make sure that you remain safe and healthy. While our pharmacists are prepared to deal with emergencies, we would rather prevent them.
Your wellbeing is our highest priority.
