Childhood Vaccines

To ensure children do not succumb to dangerous diseases, Canada and many other countries have implemented a schedule of vaccinations for babies and young children. Vaccinations for routine child immunizations are usually given at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 1 year, and 15 to 18 months. Boosters are given before a child enters kindergarten, at age 4 or 5. Below, is the recommended vaccination schedule for babies and children.

Symbols with brackets around them imply that these doses may not be required, depending upon the age of the child or adult.
