Skin's Daily Moisture
One of the most effective natural moisturizers is a substance called urea. Urea is found in the outer (surface) layer of the skin, known as the epidermis, and plays a vital role in maintaining the skin's moisture balance. It also exfoliates and softens the skin.
Urea is naturally present in healthy skin but, when the skin is dry or skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis, are present, the level of urea in the skin is reduced. Uremol® lotion and cream are available in two concentrations: 10 percent urea to help counteract moderate skin dryness, and 20 percent for severely dry skin. The lotion and cream are non-greasy and fragrance free.
If your skin is broken or inflamed, please consult your doctor before using this product.
Protecting Your Skin
The skin is greatly influenced by exposure to environmental factors including changes in the weather, exposure to chemicals, and excessive washing.
If the skin’s natural oils are frequently washed off, or the hands are irritated by contact with harsh substances, the skin becomes dry and itchy. This often leads to
cracking and further irritation.
Prevex® cream provides long-lasting protection against external irritants, including water, detergents, alkaline substances, plants, food, industrial chemicals and household cleaners and polishes. It seals the skin, allowing it to retain its natural moisture, without leaving a greasy feeling. One application of Prevex® lasts for up to six hand washings, making it very economical. It does not attract dirt, like some moisturizers, and is
fragrance-free.
A Soap That Protects Against Dry Skin
Washing with ordinary soap can strip away the skin's natural protective oils, leading to moisture depletion, dryness, flaking, loss of elasticity, itching and other forms of skin irritation.
Oilatum® soap is a gentle cleansing bar specially formulated to cleanse skin without drying it. It leaves a protective film after washing, to help guard against further loss of moisture.
Oilatum® is fragrance free and is suitable for all ages and skin types.
