Thin Crust Roasted Fig Prosciutto and Gorgonzola Pizza


Pizza Dough Ingedients
8 oz ......... Pizza dough - found in most grocers
For dusting Flour
1 tbsp ...... Extra virgin olive oil

Pizza Ingredients
6 ............. Figs, cut into quarters
2 tsp ........ Extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp ...... Extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp ........ Garlic, minced
To taste .. Ground black pepper
To taste .. Sea salt
3 oz ......... Gorgonzola cheese
6-8 pc ..... Prosciutto, thinly sliced

For best results. Oster® Toaster Oven when preparing this recipe. Makes 2 Pizzas.

Instructions:

1. DOUGH: Turn pizza dough out onto a clean, lightly floured work surface. Knead it repeatedly rotating while pushing it out and folding it back for about 3 minutes. Cut the dough into two equal portions. Shape each portion into an even round ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl. Lightly brush the dough with olive oil, cover it with plastic wrap and leave it to rise at room temperature for 30 minutes.
2. PIZZA: Preheat a toaster oven to 190ºC (375ºF).
3. Combine figs and 2 tsp olive oil. Roast in toaster oven for 8-10 minutes. Set aside until use
4. Increase heat in toaster oven to 230ºC (450ºF).

5. Roll out one pizza dough as thinly as possible and place it on a 20 cm (8”) pizza pan.
6. Combine 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil and minced garlic. Brush rolled out pizza dough with the garlic olive oil. Season dough with fresh ground black pepper and sea salt.
7. Distribute roasted figs and dollops of Gorgonzola cheese on the thin pizza dough, leaving some space all the way around the outer lip.
8. Place into the toaster oven and bake 8-10 minutes or until crust has lightly browned.
9. Remove from toaster oven and place on a clean cutting surface. Spread 3-4 slices of thin prosciutto on the hot pizza and cut into slices.
10.Repeat with the remaining dough.
