- Darker shadow shades help retreat eyes, while lighter hues, or frosts, advance them. If you want big, beautiful eyes, try out some pale shades.
- Use a light colour shadow on the upper lid to make the eyes "pop out". Use a light colour frosted shadow and your eyes will give a little flash of light every time you blink.
- If eye area is puffy, draw attention away from under the eye area by applying dark brown or black liner and mascara to the upper lash line only.
- To help keep eye shadow colour true and to eliminate creasing, apply a concealer as a base. This gives shadow colour more intensity and will keep the shadow on all day long.
- Use a bronze shadow to line lashes. This will enhance or highlight brown eyes.
- To help reduce redness in the eyes, try using a flesh or nude colored pencil along your lash line.
- To wake up the eyes add a little bit of off white shimmer powder in the tear ducts of your eyes.
- Finish eye make-up with a light dusting of loose powder to set for longer wear.
- A yellow-based concealer is great for dark circles - this shade helps to brighten the eye area.
- Replace your mascara every 1-3 months to prevent clumping, dryness or bacterial growth.
- Copper shades of eye shadow enhance all eye colours.
- Dark lashes create definition and accentuate eye color. Mascara is a must.
