Toshiba AC Adaptor sold with Portable DVD Player (SD-P1600) Recalled due to potential burn hazard.

It has been found that poor soldering of certain circuit components inside the AC adaptor may cause momentary increase of voltage output. This momentary increase of the voltage output could cause the DC-DC converter used on the electric circuit of these models to overheat. In rare cases, it is possible that the bottom cover of the portable DVD maymelt and become deformed. This might present a burn hazard if the consumer touched this area as this momentary process occurred.

The Toshiba AC Adapter was sold in Canada between January 2005 and April 2006.

If you purchased this item during the time frame specified you can phone 1-800-268-3404 to obtain a corrected AC Adapter free of charge. The portable DVD player and the AC cord are not affected by this recall.
