Blue Ember Grills: Asks all Blue Ember grill owners to check installation of the gas tank, hose and grease pan. This problem only affects certain models of Blue Ember Grills, in particular those models without heat shields 2006/2007 models. The model numbers shipped to you affected by this notice are:

When installing the gas tank (propane cylinder) on certain Blue Ember liquid propane (LP) grills it is possible to turn the tank and hose in such a way that the hose can be forced upward, toward the firebox, posing a risk of fire hazzard. A similar problem might occur in certain Blue Ember natural gas (NG) grills. We have learned of a few instances where consumers have installed the natural gas hose in the wrong location too close to the fire box.

If the grease pan assembly is not fully locked into place on these grills, that could also increase the fire hazard because the hose may have been exposed to additional heat. Exposing the hose to excessive heat and may cause the hose to deform, causing a fire that may result in serious property damage and/or serious injury.

As part of Fiesta Grill's commitment to customer safety and satisfaction, Fiesta will provide a retrofit kit free of charge containing a replacement grease pan assembly and instructions for installing it.
