VANCOUVER, BC (June 8, 2009) – The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival and London Drugs held the BC Blossom Watch Photo Contest from March 28 to April 24 to celebrate the arrival of cherry blossoms. Over two thousand photographs were submitted to the judging committee for consideration. Congratulations are extended to the first prize winner Stefan Loose and the second prize winner Thomas Hentrich. The first prize photographer won a round-trip ticket to Tokyo, Japan courtesy of Japan Airlines. The second prize was a Nikon D-90 and AF-S DX18-105 lens compliments of London Drugs.
